La Paz Centro
Downtown La Paz
If you want to be able to walk to anywhere, including restaurants, shops, the marina and, of course, the La Paz malecón, and enjoy all that downtown La Paz has to offer, then El Centro is a great place to focus your home search. The La Paz malecón is among the longest in Mexico, stretching over 3 miles along the waterfront in downtown La Paz and beyond. Here you will see local folks walking, running, roller blading, or cycling in the dedicated bike lane, all while enjoying the spectacular views of the Bay of La Paz lapping just a few yards away. Opposite the paved walking and bike trails are dozens of restaurants, cafes, ice cream shops, retail shops and more. But locals in the know don’t just stick to the malecón. If you venture a few (or more) blocks up into El Centro, there are many great little neighborhoods and properties to be found, along with some of La Paz’s best restaurants, cafes and shops. Go on a hunt for La Paz’s street murals in the side streets, check out some of the local favorite taco places, or visit the organic farmer’s market on Tuesdays and Sundays on Rosales. In El Centro, there is always something to do, and some of La Paz’s greatest finds are just a short walk away
